I’m in the middle of the longest move. After almost 20 years in Rome as the wife of a diplomat (with all the ease & restrictions that kind of visa offers) & 10+ more years overseas we were ready to go “back” to the US. At the very last minute we decided to stay in Italy & move to Venice. Immigrating is hard & slow. I have been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for a year in an unfurnished house waiting for various kinds of paperwork. Thankfully there is a kitchen, so so can cook with the few pots & bought from Ikea. I’m exhausted & yet still thrillled when I walk outside & see the wall of the Arsenale or the glimpse of the Giudecca canal. There are no easy answers. Good luck deciding.

Beautifully written. All that you and your precious family have learned on your journey so far was meant to be learned. You've grown and it is often painful but the journey to find our essence is often that. Don't be afraid. You are with a loving, curious partner and that's important. There maybe a town or a city that you haven't yet experienced that you may experience. It may give you an idea of where the road is going. It may be in Spain. Wherever the road takes you Go with Faith in yourself and with hope and persevere. That's what the journey is really about. You have never lost a thing you have only grown. It is the creative process.

Right now, Barcelona is such an important place in the world of baking. I think you would enjoy it immensely. You're so talented, I know you would do well there.

Thank you for sharing your story and your thoughts on what you are thinking about as you move forward in your life. It's a good thing to share what's going on in your life with people! All the things you have written give me better insight on how and what to specifically pray for you. I will send you some material for you to read of how others made decisions and to help guide you to making the right decisions. In the meantime here are some verses from the Bible that speak to making decisions. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans that I have for you" declares the Lord, " plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." Psalms 32:8 " I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go;I will counsel you with My eye upon you.

God is ready and willing to help you! Will you allow Him to help you? Blessings on you!!!
